“You Are Here” is the first release from Freez & Mike Frey as a duo. The two have been working together since early 2010 on multiple endeavors and are ready to release their first full-length project with more to follow soon. “You Are Here” features 17 tracks and showcases some of the best talent Minnesota has to offer – BIg Zach, Unicus, & Alicia Steele (collectively known as Kanser), Mike Mictlan, P.O.S., Mavin MC, and Franz Diego all make appearances on the mixtape. 01. Pride

“These Days” is the first video from Freez and Mike Frey’s upcoming mixtape, “You Are Here.” The video was shot entirely inside of Savers’ at the Hi-Lake shopping center in south Minneapolis and is a tribute to our city’s many thrift stores. The mixtape, “You Are Here,” will be available for free download Friday, May 13th, 2011. In addition, 50 free CD’s will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis Friday, May 13th, 2011 at Honey (205 East Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis) for the May edition of Turnt Up. This is the 2nd video off of the “Burnt Out” album by Mike Frey. For those that don’t know about Alicia, she has been performing around the Twin Cities for several years, more recently with Kanser and Greg Grease. Last year Alicia was featured on Kanser’s “Two For One” album. She is currently working on a solo project and a new album with Kanser.

I would like to give a big thanks to Alicia for helping create this piece of music. A big thanks also goes out to Mickey Iluebbey for taking the time to paint such a beautiful piece of art and thank you to Greg Grease/River Life Media for taking to the time to film her creation.
